I would Highly recomend this movie to families because it teaches the importence of family. I loved this movie and i don't think that the use of one word that is found offencive, can ruin a perfectly amazing movie. Robin Williams is at his best bere and the others are too. I think there was another scene near the end where you could understand what they were saying, but could be wrong. BUT, there are certainly fouler words used througout this movie between the boy and the girl and the girl and the dad, at one time I'm almost certain that she called someone a bitch, and the dad also accused the mom of the other family of being a hooker, "We made X amount of money this year without leaving the bus" "Hook?"
